Top Stories:  Missouri Democratic US Senator Claire McCaskill is hosting a series of town hall meetings in the upcoming weeks, including one in Webb City near Joplin Saturday morning.  McCaskill, who is in a tight race for reelection, has held numerous town halls this year, mostly in Republican rural areas where she typically struggles to get votes.  And the state Board of Education does not appear to have the five votes required to replace Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven. Missouri School Boards’ Association Executive Director Melissa Randol says Governor Greitens, who has appointed five board members in hopes of terminating Vandeven, could replace those who don’t support his plan.
