MU center projects a dip in farm income for springtime (LISTEN)

by | Apr 23, 2024

The University of Missouri is projecting a 19.8% drop in net farm income for the Show-Me State this year. The Spring 2024 Missouri Farm Income Outlook says the decline is due to declining market receipts and lower crop prices. The report looks at projected farm financial indicators, including receipts, production expenses, and other components that affect net income. The report estimates that Missouri’s net farm income will increase in 2025 and 2026.

Anthony Morabith chats with Scott Brown at the University of Missouri Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center.
